How to clean your pipe without the mess
Pipe cleaning can be relatively painless if you know the right tricks. Here is the easiest way to clean your pipe that will be mess-free and even contains the smells from the residue.
1) Put your pipe into a ziploc bag
2) Add about 1/3 cup salt for a spoon or 1/2 for a bubbler
3) Fill the bag with alcohol until the pipe is covered - 50% or higher isopropyl alcohol (this is a fancy name for rubbing alcohol and can be found anywhere)
4) Shake the bag to allow the alcohol to dissolve the salt and for the mixture to enter the pipe.
5) Continue shaking for up to 15 minutes (less if the pipe is not as dirty)
6) Remove the pipe and rinse with water to determine how clean it is
7) Use a paperclip or bobby pin to loosen stubborn residue spots
8) Zip up the bag and throw it away and your mess is contained...
